To be considered for financial aid, students must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and a UIW Student Information form every year. A student must be accepted for admittance by the University and enrolled in a degree-seeking program with at least half-time status. For students in UIW Online, this will mean at least one course per 8-week term. A student is limited to a maximum of two courses per 8-week term.
Payment
When registering for an online course, students will be presented with several payment options.
Students may:
1. Pay their tuition in full via credit card by contacting our Business Office representative at 210-829-6099.
2. Elect to pay their tuition by using the two installments plan. Before the start of the course, the student must have remitted one half of the current term’s tuition to the business office. The second installment will be due the following month.
3. Use VA benefits to assist them in paying their tuition. If this is an option for you, please indicate this on your registration form. Students should also visit the UIW Veterans website to expedite the process. Special rates exist for Veterans taking courses in the UIW Online programs.
4. Use Employer Reimbursement/Military Assistance for Active Duty/Financial Aid. If any of these are an option, you must indicate so on your registration form and we will contact you about the completion of additional paperwork. Special rates exist for active-duty military, DoD civilians, and active-duty military dependents.
Administrative Fee
An administrative fee of $50 is assessed for every course withdrawal. The only exception is for our active-duty military students, as a contingency of our partnership agreements.
