Admissions

The University of the Incarnate Word promotes life-long learning and fosters the development of the whole person. UIW Online's curriculum offers students an integrated program of liberal arts and professional studies that includes a global perspective and an emphasis on social justice and community service. The program extends educational opportunities to adult students who will benefit from the affordable tuition, flexibility of online course work and free textbooks at the undergraduate level.

Even if you are an adult student with previous educational experiences (in terms of GPA) that do not reflect your current commitment to your educational goals, rest assured that in UIW Online, you will have a chance to prove yourself. Students must be out of high school for 5 years and have at least 3 years of work experience. The experience can be in the home, as might be the case with a stay-home parent.

Completion of a degree totally online gives you control over when you “attend” class, by offering the flexibility of asynchronous interaction and 24-hour access. We understand the constraints of work, career and life in general and it’s never too late! You are just in time to start working towards your degree.

Apply online today.  No fee to apply!

To Apply:

Fill out the online application (link provided above). For assistance with the application, please email admissions.

Review and follow the policies noted for undergraduate and graduate admissions.

As part of the admissions process, request official transcripts from all previous schools you have attended.  No admission can be completed, and no formal degree plan prepared, until we receive current (issued within the last 6 months) official transcripts from all post-secondary schools you have attended.  Students with fewer than 24 transferable hours must also submit high school transcripts as well.

Official transcripts should be mailed to:
