Additional BSBA concentrations:
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree program’s goal is to develop in each student a broad understanding of how the elements and processes of business organizations relate to one another and to the external environment. Degree requirements are designed to develop proficiency and confidence in the functional areas of business. In addition to providing the technical skills required for a professional level business position, the ethical considerations of business are emphasized. Students will select a specialization area as part of the degree program.

Remaining hours needed to meet 120 hour requirement are elected by student. Students will work with their academic advisor to select courses that will meet their career goals and ensure fulfillment of advanced hours and residency degree requirements. Transfer credit may be used to fulfill these hours.
NOTE: The Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (TSBPA) requires 30 semester hours of approved upper division accounting courses, 21 hours of approved upper division business courses, plus an approved three hour course in ethics, included within a total of 150 semester hours with a degree, as qualifications to sit for the CPA examination.
It is the student's responsibility to make certain they are meeting the requirements for the CPA; therefore we encourage you to research the requirements within the state you are testing. At least 15 of these hours must result from physical attendance at classes meeting regularly on the campus of the transcript-issuing institution.
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in the division of Extended Academic Programs at the University of the Incarnate Word is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
This online class will help a student be eligible to take a national certification test upon completion for Cardiac Rhythm Analysis Technician jobs.
